OCC allows you to leverage optimization capabilities directly or directly link to more extensive third-party optimization tools for integration into your optimization methods and processes.
Two Powerful Built-in Optimizers
OCC includes links to many major optimization systems and two built in optimizers:
- An Optimized Latin Hypercube (OLH) Design of Experiments and
- Our GRG gradient-based optimizer. These resources provide an excellent alternative for those without access to more extensive third-party optimization tools.

OCC can be used with Sculptor for fully automated shape optimization. Optimized designs can be returned to CAD by using the OCC and Back2CAD add-ons.
